To be human is everything. We fail, we rise, we fall again. Whether you can do a backflip or you're an amazing ribbon dancer. Where you can whistle with two fingers or eat 10 hotdogs in 30 seconds. If you can run a mile in 4 minutes, or you can't run at all.
It's all to be human.
To see, to sense, to touch, and feel and smell. To hold.
We all long and are lost at the same time. It doesn't matter if you're the prince or the thief. We all long. For something.
Born with an innate desire to achieve. To not be alone. We all focus on all the wrong things. When our heart breaks we think of ourselves in mourning. Inside of being joyous we have a heart to break.
We all hide from ourselves. We label and classify and think one life is better than the other. But what if we stopped just to ponder how lucky we are to have breath in our lungs. Who are you?
Is it what you do? What you look like? Is it what you have? What you achieved or failed at? Is it the color of lipstick you put on in the morning or is it the color you paint your nails? I wonder if it's your occupation? What outfit you have on? Whether your shoes match your belt, match your hat?
Is it your dream?
What does it mean to be human? We culturally divide ourselves by the haves and have nots.
But it's so much simpler than that. It's not a color or a race, or some brand new apparel.
It's you. All of it. All of us. It's us. The entire universe acting out to feel every possible scenario and emotion.
It's to breathe. To fill our lungs over and over and over again until we decide not to. It's so simple. It's so magical. It's so the entire universe in you. Scientifically proven that we are in fact made of the cosmos.
Why do we long so much? Why do we yearn to be loved?
It's our way of finding ourselves through connection. Through love. A perfect opportunity to be kind not only to your neighbors but to all people. To find the magic in being so close to love that we manifest it.
To be human is to be everything.
